About Rana

Hi! I’m an experienced Ontario Certified Teacher with over 15 years of classroom experience teaching students from Kindergarten through Grade 8. Throughout my career, I’ve worked with students with a wide range of abilities, learning styles, and needs, and I truly believe that every child can succeed when they are given the right support and encouragement.

I hold a Bachelor of Arts and a Bachelor of Education and have additional qualifications in Special Education, English Language Learners, and Indigenous Education. I also have extensive experience teaching mathematics and supporting students in reading and writing.

As a classroom teacher, I understand the Ontario curriculum, current teaching practices, and the expectations students face at school. I’m able to identify learning gaps, break difficult concepts into manageable steps, and adapt my approach to suit each individual learner.

My teaching style is patient, positive, and encouraging. Building a student’s confidence is just as important to me as improving their academic skills. I want my students to feel comfortable asking questions, making mistakes, and celebrating their progress.

Above all, I love working with children and helping them experience that moment when something that once felt difficult finally clicks!

About the lesson

My lessons are personalized to meet each student exactly where they are. I begin by identifying individual strengths, areas for growth, and learning needs, then tailor each session accordingly. As an experienced Ontario teacher, I use engaging, curriculum-aligned strategies to help students strengthen their skills in Math, Reading, and Writing while building confidence and independence.

I believe learning should feel supportive, encouraging, and achievable. I break concepts down into manageable steps, provide clear explanations and plenty of guided practice, and adjust my teaching approach based on how each student learns best. Whether your child needs extra support, help closing learning gaps, more challenging enrichment, or simply a confidence boost, lessons are designed around their individual goals.

Most importantly, I want students to feel comfortable asking questions, making mistakes, and taking risks with their learning. My goal isn't simply to help students complete their work. It's to help them understand what they're learning and develop skills they can carry back into the classroom.
