About Rachel
I have been playing the trumpet since the age of 5 and music has totally transformed my life ever since. I firmly believe learning an instrument has an array of benefits to mental wellbeing, opens up a world of social opportunities, and improves cognitive function. I am eager to share my passion for music and particularly this enchanting instrument with new pupils in the knowledge that it will enhance their lives, too. My professional background is in arts administration, where I have worked to improve access to musical performance opportunities for students to help them access the mental wellbeing benefits performance offers. Teaching trumpet is a continuation of this mission.

I take a student-led approach to ensure maximum musical engagement and enjoyment whilst developing strong foundations of technique. This means choosing repertoire collaboratively with student to combine improvement with learning music that the student enjoys. Will teach to Grade syllabi (ABRSM/Trinity Guildhall) as desired. I offer clear guidance on practice regimes and regular feedback.
Advise 30 minute lessons.
