About Eugene

Eugene has been teaching music for nearly twenty years. He studied at The University of Western Australia, and the Royal College of Music London (the world's leading music conservatory), after which he pursued a graduate diploma in education. He has taught in schools in Australia and overseas, and has run his own private piano studio. During this time he has taught thousands of students of different ages - children and adults - at different levels of experience.

For those who want to work more independently, there is a coaching service that works without lessons, using video exchanges and chat support throughout the week. This is the most affordable service and works as well as face-to-face lessons in many ways.

For those who want lessons, there are online or face-to-face (in-person) lessons available. You can book a regular time each week or fortnight, or book a lesson on demand as needed.

Lessons are comprehensive and adapted to the student's age and experience level. You will master not just the piano but also theory, sight reading, aural skills, and history. Most importantly, you'll feel safe to learn without worrying about your mistakes. The focus is on the pleasure of playing and the inherent beauty of music, not perfection.

Having access to an experienced professional can cost up to $120 per hour, but you can have access to top-quality expertise from just $20 a week. This coaching fee gets you regular video feedback and chat support throughout your week (this includes goal setting and sharing of resources). As a client you can also book lessons starting at just $10 for a short online lesson, and $30 for a face-to-face lesson in a fully furnished studio with a grand piano; you get to choose your service. Lessons can be regular or booked on demand.
