About Emily

Hi, I’m Emily Jones, a dedicated piano tutor with 6 years of experience teaching students from different age groups and musical backgrounds. Music has always been an important part of my life, and I love helping students discover their creativity and confidence through piano. Over the years, I have taught beginners taking their very first lesson as well as more experienced students looking to improve technique, musicality, and performance skills. I believe every student has unique strengths and learning styles, which is why I personalize each lesson to make learning both effective and enjoyable. My teaching style is patient, supportive, and encouraging, helping students feel comfortable while developing their skills at their own pace. I enjoy teaching a wide range of musical genres including classical, pop, jazz, and modern contemporary music, allowing students to explore the styles they enjoy most. Beyond technical skills, I aim to help students build confidence, discipline, and a genuine connection with music. Watching students progress and develop a passion for piano is one of the most rewarding parts of being a music teacher.

About the lesson

My piano lessons are designed to make learning music enjoyable, inspiring, and easy to follow for students of all ages and skill levels. With 6 years of teaching experience, I focus on creating personalized lessons that match each student’s goals, musical interests, and learning pace. Whether you are a complete beginner learning your first notes, an intermediate student improving technique, or someone returning to piano after a break, I provide supportive guidance every step of the way. Lessons include essential skills such as hand coordination, rhythm, sight reading, music theory, posture, scales, improvisation, and performance techniques. I also help students learn their favorite songs and explore different musical styles including classical, pop, jazz, and contemporary music. My teaching approach combines structure with creativity so students stay motivated while building strong musical foundations. I believe learning piano should never feel overwhelming, so I create a relaxed and encouraging environment where students can develop confidence and truly enjoy the learning process. My goal is to help every student become a skilled and expressive pianist while developing a lifelong appreciation for music.
