About Amelia

I am an experienced professional, having enjoyed a career in communications and publishing for prestigious organisations such as Oxford University Press and the Society of Antiquaries of London. I am available for tutoring in humanities subjects such as English Literature, History and Philosophy, as well as 11+ tuition.

Alongside my professional experience, I have an M.Phil in Modern History from Bristol University, as well as a First Class MA from St Andrews University, studying Art History, History, and Philosophy. I can help students with all aspects of Practical/Coursework/Theory from early years to Graduate level. I feel creativity combined with a logical approach to learning is extremely important whatever the subject, and I help students not only with content - but also their approach to study.

I'm happy to proofread dissertations/essays and am able to guide students through the complexities of academic writing and referencing - however, I must stress that the content of the essays must be the students own.

I approach each learner and their needs individually, always meeting with prospective clients to discuss their aims and goals, strengths and weaknesses, prior to beginning lessons. I believe that learning should be fun, individual and creative - taking place in a supportive environment.

I`m a friendly, calm and flexible teacher who will personalise lessons to meet your individual requirements - believing that every single learner is different.
