About Luke
I am a Psychology graduate with a 2:1 BSc (Hons) from Loughborough University, currently completing a postgraduate degree in London. I studied Psychology through to A Level and then degree level, so I know the subject inside out — from the foundations covered at GCSE through to the more demanding theoretical and research content at A-Level. Alongside my academic background, I have spent several years working in Learning & Development, which means I genuinely understand how people learn — not just what to teach, but how to make it stick. I also have direct experience working with a young person through the Future Frontiers programme, providing guided one-to-one coaching over six weeks — helping them navigate their options, explore their strengths, and make confident decisions about their next career steps. I know how to build both confidence and knowledge, which makes a real difference when students are under exam pressure. Whether your child is just getting to grips with the basics or pushing for top marks at A Level, I offer patient, structured, and engaging support tailored to them.

I tailor every session to the individual student. Before we get started, I take time to understand where they are in the course, what their exam board requires, and where their confidence is lacking. That way, no session is wasted covering ground they already know.
For GCSE students, I focus on making key concepts and studies memorable and manageable, building a solid foundation that holds up under exam conditions. For A Level students, I place a strong emphasis on exam technique alongside content — particularly how to construct analytical answers, apply research evidence, and pick up marks in the extended writing questions where students most often lose points.
I use a conversational, back-and-forth style rather than just talking at students, because being able to explain a concept in your own words is the surest sign you actually understand it. Sessions are focused but relaxed — I want students to feel comfortable asking questions and saying when something hasn’t clicked.
