About Zach

I’ve always loved helping students discover that they’re more capable than they think. Over the years, I’ve worked with middle and high school students who felt overwhelmed or unsure of themselves—and I’ve seen how the right support can change everything. Watching a student go from frustrated to confident is why I do this work. It is a remarkable feeling when you are able to start believing in yourself again. I specialize in tutoring Biology, Chemistry, Pre-Calculus, Anatomy, Psychology, Sociology, and Study Skills. I also provide academic coaching. My sessions are calm, supportive, and personalized to fit each student’s learning style and goals. I’m here to help you feel more confident, build lasting skills, and find a way of learning that actually works for you.

Engaging, Encouraging, and Effective Tutoring Tailored to Your Student’s Needs As a tutor, my approach is rooted in building trust, confidence, and curiosity. I believe every student can succeed with the right support, so I focus on meeting learners where they are—academically and emotionally. Whether a student is struggling with foundational concepts or aiming to deepen their understanding, I tailor every lesson to match their learning style, pace, and goals. Teaching Method & Techniques I use a combination of clear explanations, visual aids, real-world examples, and interactive questioning to help students truly understand the material—not just memorize it. I also work on strengthening critical thinking and problem-solving skills so students can apply their learning independently. What a Typical Lesson Looks Like Each session starts with a quick check-in and review of previous material to assess retention and address any lingering questions. Then, we dive into new content with a hands-on, guided approach. I incorporate mini-assessments or practice problems along the way, and we always end with a short recap and goals for next time. What Sets Me Apart Students who come to me often believe they “just aren’t good at school” or “can’t do math or science”—and I take pride in helping them prove themselves wrong. I create a calm, encouraging learning space where mistakes are part of the process, and courage is celebrated as much as progress. Families often share that their child leaves my sessions not only smarter—but more confident.
