About Martina
My name is Martina and I am a second-year student at the University of Essex, I grew up in Barcelona and came to Colchester to study. I am also studying psychology, with a focus on educational psychology, so I understand the needs of a student and how to help them while learning. I have the ELE qualification (teaching Spanish) for kids and adults. I want to give you the tools to succeed in your journey of learning Spanish. I am going to help you develop your skills and knowledge. These are the keys to acquiring and honing your practice, but I want you to learn these skills practicing a large variety of exercises and activities.

I've been tutoring and teaching Spanish since 2016, adults, teenagers, kids, and babies (individually and in groups). As a result of that, I'm quite aware of your weaknesses and strengths in this regard, which made me improve and adapt my tuitions to my students. Now I know what are the hardest parts for English speakers, therefore my classes are not only about teaching Spanish but also techniques about how to study it and learn it.
I use structural methods and materials appropriate for instruction success including interactive activities. Likewise, I provide Spanish textbooks as well as workbooks, games, exams, etc depending on your goals. Also, I plan the lessons according to the work of my students, taking into account their shifts and time, designing and composing thematic study units. I adapt my tuitions to my tutees according to their needs and abilities.
Finally, I offer technical expertise, enthusiasm, commitment, and endless patience.
