I have a minimalist approach in my teaching. Eg. I don't give a lot of alaaps to a beginner, I give quite a few alaaps and make the student thorough with it till his/her voice becomes crystal clear. I give brief background of ragas before I teach any of them. I also teach light music wherein I focus on VOICE CULTURE techniques and voice control techniques. Also I focus on developing the feel of that song in the student's voice.
