About Sara
I am an experienced and currently working Primary/Junior teacher (Grades JK-6) with over 30+ years as an Ontario Certified Teacher working at the York Region District School Board. I am also a mom to 4 children of my own- whom all learn differently and love to learn. I have Special Education certification with experience teaching students with Autism and Multiple Exceptionalities.

I specialize in Reading Recovery techniques (grade one primary readers who are struggling with their reading and writing skills) as well as many different hands-on approaches in order to better understand math, language, science and social studies concepts. I believe learning is a life-long skill for all! French instruction can also be arranged if requested -with myself and one of my own children (I personally can not teach in French- but they can!).
