About Victor

Since I was a child, I was reminded of the importance of a stellar education. Having learned from amazing teachers and tutors myself, I want to pay it forward and help nurture and mentor our next generation of leaders.

I have tutored dozens of students and helped them achieve their academic goals and #1 college admissions at elite schools across the U.S. I will leave no stone unturned in helping you pursue your dreams!

I am a graduate of the College of William & Mary with at least 95th percentile scores for the SAT, ACT, and GRE, and I'm passionate about applying my consulting skills and passion for learning towards your tutoring experience.

I was raised to believe in the value of a strong education, and I was excited to become a tutor at my college. It was there that I learned the tutoring process and evolved my passion and skills for teaching others.

I've spent two years working as a tutor for Economics and Business in the College of William & Mary's TutorZone. I've also guided several people through the college admissions process, from holistic application review to SAT/ACT prep and essay development.

Professionally, I have experience conducting training for large organizations on software and new processes. If I can convince seasoned professionals to pick up new skills, then I can surely do it for students as well!

About the lesson

I believe in creating a positive experience from Day One. After learning some basic background info, I make sure to set "rules of engagement" to help create a nurturing, compassionate, and collaborative environment where the student is encouraged to find the answers by themselves. I am there to be a guide along the way, and I will work hard to understand the student's preferred learning styles and adapt my lessons to them.

I've worked with high school and college students with busy schedules. Time management and efficient tutoring are key!

Make sure the teacher is up-to-date with recent news and processes. They should not be relying on 20-year old information. Ask for proof of their effectiveness in the form of scores, essays, or other items.

I recently helped a student gain admission to two top-ranked Masters programs. Over the course of a few months, they increased their GRE score by 20 points and refined their essays to truly capture their story and voice.
