About Jason
Since I started coaching my son's flag football team in 2015, I have developed a love of coaching and mentoring. I have since expanded that passion into tutoring.
I have an MBA from UC Irvine and 20+ years of corporate finance experience. This is has helped me to develop my critical-thinking skills which I use to help my students learn.
There's nothing like seeing a student who is frustrated with a topic leave my sessions with a smile on their face because they realize they can understand and master the material.
I have a 13-year-old son. I have been coaching his flag football team for the past five years. I have also been helping him and his friends with their Algebra homework. That has opened my eyes to the joy of teaching.
I have a B.A. in Finance from Northeastern State University and an MBA from UC Irvine.

I like to assess my student's aptitude be review basic concepts of the topic we are studying. This helps me better understand the needs of the student and what to focus on. I stay aware of how my students respond to various teaching methods. Not everyone learns the same way, so I adjust my style to match that of my students.
Do not be afraid to ask questions, no matter how "dumb" you might think the question is. If you have a question, it means you are not clear on something. Clarity is critical when learning a subject.

Details
I typically charge $35/session. The standard session is 55 minutes beginning on the hour. Because i often have students scheduled back to back, I cannot go over the allotted time slot. Therefore, it is imperative my students show up about five minutes early for their session.
