About Sarina
As a qualified English tutor and a certified trainer in presentation skills, I bring two aspects to my tuition, clarity and understanding in terms of the GCSE English Language syllabus and essential presentation skills. Skills that are not taught much in schools but essential for university and the workplace. I've had a varied career including research in international relations, first-year undergraduate tutor, teaching ESL and GCSE English Language and Literature as well as presentation skills for business owners and teens. I bring all this to my tuition as a GCSE English tutor which brings results for students who are either struggling to get a pass or else aiming for a grade 8 or 9. I appreciate all students are different and I ensure a tailor-made approach to all my lessons including a thorough assessment before we start.

After building a great rapport with my tutees, my approach is about active learning. I ask questions, listen well and guide my tutees along a path of active learning where they start to understand and excel in English. I'm able to break things down into manageable bite-size pieces and explain topics with clarity. As a qualified public speaking coach, I also ensure my tutees excel in presentation and communication skills which is part of the curriculum and essential for life. I can tutor in all main exam boards and tutor in both English Language and Literature.
