About Ryan

I am a professional that is passionate about helping students better understand the social sciences. I can provide tutoring for history, test prep, writing/English as well as critical thinking and analysis.

I have worked professionally as a consultant for the department of defense, providing an expertise in history and analysis. I have also spent many years in the technical writing field and am able to provide guidance for students.

Though math and science are not my expertise, I do have experience with big data and data analysis.

I have always had a passion for teaching and consulting. Even in High School I enjoyed teaching and helping students.

The passion I have for education and the success of students has always been a big part of my life.

I have a degree in History and Inteligence Studies. I have worked as a trainer in critical thinking and analysis for about five years. I also have taught students up to the High School level in most of the social sciences.

About the lesson

I am very process oriented and focus heavily on knowledge base and general understanding of the skills needed to succeed.

I initially will attempt to understand where the students are successful so I can understand the knowledge base they have. I then will ask about issues they are facing so I can tailor the tutoring towards those issues. Learning the foundational skills is much more important to me as it leads to greater success down the line.

I’ve worked with students of all grades as well as college. I have also worked with professionals looking to improve their craft in different fields.
