About Ty

I have worked with kids from all ages ranging from 5 to 18 years old. I was fortunate enough to play college baseball at Aurora University from 2013-2017 and want to give back to the game for everything it gave me.

I take a holistic approach when training kids. Each kid is different and requires a specific need in order to help them on and off the field. With hitting I use technology to help me identify flaws in my clients. Although technology is great it is just a tool that helps me convey my message to my athletes. I also train fielding, pitching, and catching as well. If I can't help your son or daughter then I will refer you to other instructors at the Oakland Reds facility.

I enjoy the look in my athletes eyes when they realize what they truly capable of on the field. Many lack confidence in their abilities but when they first have "light bulb moment", that is the start to because the best player they can be.

I was lucky enough to have great coaches who cared for me and pushed me to be the best I could be. I want to be that for my athletes and I love what I do.

Baseball is a very complex game when you are not surrounded by the right people. I am constantly doing research and surrounding my self with coaches and mentors who are constantly learning on how we can be better for our athletes.

I starting working baseball camps straight out of high school and have continued to coach since 2013. I start private lessons in 2014 when I was in college.

I take each athlete through an evaluation. I try to understand where they are as an athlete and base all the information I gather into a short or long term plan for their development.

I have worked with all ages from 5 years old to 18.

I would suggest to ask as many questions as possible and determine if you think they can help In your long term journey.

The first team I coached was the 16u Naperville Renegades and now those boys are in college playing at all levels in college. I love seeing them succeed and them continuing to chase their dreams.

A few things worth thinking about before reaching out
Do I really want to get better? Am I going to do what it takes to get better? What am I willing to sacrifice in order to get better? What are my needs? Where do I struggle at? Where do I succeed the most in? What my strengths and weaknesses?

The standard price is 35$ for a half hour. The first lesson I do with first time clients is free. The first lesson is basically the evaluation period so I can get to know the athlete and understand where they want to improve.
