About Torin

I have 2+ years Professional Baseball experience in the Japanese Professional League (NPB) Minor League system under Yokohama Giants.

Currently I have been training local travel ball teams for 2 years part time but have decided to bring my talents to all ages.

I was a Two way player (Outfied/ Infield/ starting Pitching) through college. I attended Westmont College and was Captain for 2 years. I have close connections with collegiate coaches to give inside info for young athletes looking to advance to the college level.

I was trained under Ron Lefebvre(trained legends like Sandy Koufax and Nolan Ryan), this training style led me to be injury free for my whole career while seeing a jump in velocity from 78-95mph in 5years.

In a baseball world with Tommy John as the norm, I will train your athletes to gain the most velocity, power, accuracy, and stamina with injury free mechanics. I introduce and train Professional conditioning programs that will strengthen and train players to get the most out of their bodies.

I enjoy passing baseball knowledge and history to young athletes that pursue a better performance on and off the field. I believe that baseball is the greatest sport and teaches young men and women skills that will help them be successful off and on the field.

I feel like with the large amount of training and experience I have, I need to pass that knowledge along to the younger generations so this great game will be respected and enjoyed.

Please consider my training service as I know I am not in it for the $, I enjoy and am thrilled to see success in these young athletes as they grow in their career.

I started helping coaching in some of my friends leagues and have always felt some gratification on coaching and teaching young athletes.

I have 2+ years Professional Baseball playing experience as a starting Pitcher in The Japanese Minor League system.
I was a scholar athlete and Captain of Westmont College Baseball program for two years. I also played outfield / infield/ and pitched for my whole career up to professional level which is very rare to find. I have some Kinesiology course experience that aids in my ability to allow max performance without injuring my students.

First I assess the athlete, see their foundation and adjust from there. Without a strong foundation power and stamina will not be generated or sustained properly.
Secondly I look at throwing and hitting motion. I will look at strengths and weaknesses and try to emphasize mechanical adjustments using small processes that will adjust rhythm, bat path or arm path, and hip/lower body motion. I will use a video device to show proper mechanics of professional players and then record+compare the athletes' mechanics to simulate the certain motion without losing their individual style.
Most coaches will forces style into players but I believe each athlete has their own style and need to find what works best for them.

I have worked with all ages from 5-6 years old all the way up to college players.

There are a lot of coaches out there but many older coaches have been out of the game for a long time. I have very recent experience and insight on the college and professional level that will help my students to excel and have the best chance to perform at their highest levels

A few things worth thinking about before reaching out
Ask yourself what are your goals?

Are you feeling pain in any motion or any specific area?

What your strengths and what are your weaknesses?
