About Joseph
I'm currently a second semester junior nursing major at Robert Morris University in Pittsburgh, PA. I work as a teaching assistant in our state of the art simulation lab and tutor in pharmacology, pathophysiology, anatomy and physiology, nutrition, obstetrics, foundations, health assessment, and obstetrics. I have been included on Dean's List every semester and was recently the Dean's Scholar Award for the second time in my college career.
I love being able to help students learn new ways of studying and learning information to ensure they remain excited about and engaged in their studies. I get great satisfaction from seeing students reach their "aha!" moment and regain their excitement about their studies and sparking a lifelong love of learning.
I currently hold a 3.75 GPA in a very competitive nursing program and serve as a Teaching Assistant and tutor for numerous courses on campus. I have a deep desire to help students create individualized learning plans to ensure their success not only in their current courses, but also all courses moving forward. I have specific interests in high school students interested in the sciences or pre-nursing / nursing students currently enrolled in undergraduate programs.

I like to work with students to identify their personal study habits and style and work with them to create flexible, creative, and functional study plans to ensure their success in their classes. Once establishing a plan, I request to see the student's syllabus and create learning goals for each tutoring session, while allowing the student to bring forward any specific questions or topics requiring extra remediation.
