About Paul

My experience is that I'm a former professional basketball player for 4 years 1988-1992

played in Mexico and Puerto Rico & Grand Cayman and throughout the United States

I was a asst coach AAU girls basketball travel team for one year 2018

I coach boys and girls and coeds basketball teams for the YMCA since 2001 to 2022

I referee at the YMCA for basketball football soccer since 2001 to 2022

I coached at PAL for basketball for 2 years from 2013-2015

I will be able help your son or daughter into a better all round player

With hard work from me and hard work from your son or daughter the results will be great

To see a player work hard and become a better player right in front of your eyes

its a wonderful feeling

I always wanted to coach so when my son wanted to play I decided to coach his team and I never looked back been coaching ever since

I love helping others become a better basketball player

It's a beautiful thing when everything comes together for the player and they see with hard work good things start to happen

Basketball coach since 1999

AAU asst coach girls basketball 1 year

PAL coach basketball 2 year boys and girls

YMCA coach basketball 19 years boys and girls and coed

Pro basketball player for 4 years 1988-1992

About the lesson

First talk to them find what they want to get out of the training

then see what their skill set is

then make a plan for them to have success and become a better overall player

then get to work

I've worked with all ages

boys and girls

junior high players

high school players

college players

When you do find someone after the first session

Are you comfortable with the coach?

Are they upfront and honest with you NO SUGARCOATNG IT not telling you what you want to hear?

Are they coming to your games to watch you to see what you need to work on the next time you train?

Are they listening to you about what you want to work on?

I had a kid who played high school a sophomore and didn't make the team

We trained together he got himself into shape

Trained hard on everything and made the team the next time

So proud of him

A few things worth thinking about before reaching out
They should ask their selfs what they think their strengths are and weaknesses are and write them down to have for the coach to look at when they are practicing

And important too the player needs to ask himself or herself will I put forth the effort to get better because it’s hard if it wasn’t everybody would be able to do it

Perfect! Coach Paul has been a great coach, mentor and trainer for my son. I found Paul with the interest of finding my son a coach that would inspire him to be a better player both mentally and physically. I appreciate Paul's flexibility with practices. That is priceless. Whether it is a 6:00 a.m. or a 6:00 p.m. practice, Paul works with us to make things happen. Thank you for the dedication Paul to my son and for what you do.
