About Tom
I have a passion for basketball do you? I grew up loving and playing the game and have a clear understanding of how the game has changed through the years. My philosophy is simple work hard on your weaknesses and emphasize on skills you are not comfortable with. Also I truly believe that no trainer regardless of their experience will make you better without you putting in the time and effort to get better on your own. My role is to give you guidance and provide a blueprint on what you need to get better as a player.
I have coached middle school teams for the past 5 years and currently train kids ranging from 3rd-8th grade. I draw from my passion and experience and understanding of each individuals needs. I played in highschool and college and was part of a NYC championship team that featured 3 future NBA players and 6 D1 players.
I have always loved the game of basketball teaching it is natural to me.
I have been coaching youth basketball for 5 years. I've seen and coaches many kids with different skill levels. I draw on my experience of playing and. ring around the game of basketball for 25 years

I believe it's important to understand what the students goals are short term aswell as long term. Then together we put together a plan to help achieve those goals. First couple of sessions are really built around seeing what the exact skill level is and then helping understand what the students weaknesses are and then we plan our sessions on improving those particular skills.
As of right now middle school 3-8th grade
Find someone that is passionate bout the game. Training is not just about putting a bunch of cones out the court and doing drills for N hour. A trainer is supposed to help you understand the game and what you need to do as an individual to improve your game. It is vital that whatever training you get from someone that you not only understand why you are doing these drills but to be able to learn and apply your skills in game situations as well being able to use what you have learned to work on your game in your own time.
A few things worth thinking about before reaching out
Personally if you have any video clips of yourself playing send it to the trainer and ask for some feedback on what they see and what they feel you need to work on to improve. Otherwise just ask some questions in regards to how plan on helping you develope as a player. Every player is different skill level varies and each player developes at a different pace.

He is a really nice a good teacher. He started with my son from the basic, because my boy started last year to approach to this sport. It's almost a month that he follows my son and Tom. Actually we meet 2 times a week but I m sure we will do more. Thanks Tom.. hope the best
Tom trained my son in the fundamentals of basketball. I was impressed with one fundamental which strengthen my son's weak hand. I saw him do the drill that was intense and saw the results within minutes. Tom makes you use muscles that were not active. He breaks down the training to a science. He believes in the basic fundamentals that drive good players on daily basis. I think he is outstanding in analyzing players of all ages with there strengths and weaknesses.
