About Stephanie

Hello! I'm Stephanie, Licensed Massage Therapist of 6 years and Teacher for 4.5 years. I have a background of educational theory, learning theory, lesson design, and emotional intelligence. I teach Anatomy & Physiology of the human body to massage therapy students. Every class students walk in nervous and walk out surprised they retained so much information and excited to continue learning about the subject. I'm skilled in reading, writing, basic biology, anatomy, physiology, running, and test prep. I can learn your child's learning style and support them in a way the helps them retain information. I have great study tips and methods. I'm a patient, curious, engaging, and an enthusiastic instructor. We'll have fun while learning core skills.

I have a passion for the human body and wanted to share that with others. I enjoy supporting people in their process and seeing people retain information and get excited about it. Everyone is smarter than they think they are and it takes a patient, encouraging, empowering and affirming teacher to pull that awareness out of a learner. I'm here to do that.

4.5 years of experience in the classroom instructing adults in various subjects pertaining to massage therapy including anatomy & physiology of the human body, testing skills, study skills. I'm an artist by trade and have experience with how to tap into your creative side. I have contiuning education in educational theory & design, learning theory, lesson planning, deisgning activites & lectures, emotional intelligence, history of education.

About the lesson

I ask them what they're excited about when it comes to learning this specific subject, what they're most afraid of, and what they're most curious about.

Adults. I've also been a program aide in girl scout camps and have directed girls from ages 6-17.

I don't have any advice, I'd ask a question: What do you already know about this subject? Can be vauge, abstract, specific, anything. I bet you already know more than you think you do.

I was sitting on the beach with a friend in grand haven, we had our chair propped out next to our cars. We were talking about photography, something we're both passionate about. He tells me iPhones can take pictures underwater. I instantly google it and see that it's true. So I bound down to the shore, roll around in the waves, and take underwater pictures for about 10 minutes.
