About Megan
I am a certified 7-12 science teacher in the state of Ohio, and k-12 in Pennsylvania. I am currently practicing and teaching in the classroom. I am passionate, I connect with all my students, and I can ensure results.
In college I was fortunate to travel to Kolkata India and Guatemala on mission trips. This is where I had my first encounters with teaching kids. I taught a variety of special needs students in this setting. From there I found my passion and instantly returned to school and added on an education degree. For the past five years I have been working in urban, rural and inner city settings to provide the best education possible for all studnents including many students with IEPs, ADHD, cognitive delays, learning disabilities, and more.
I have a BS in environmental science as well as Education. I am a certified to teach Integrated Science, Environmental Science, and Biology though I’m comfortable moving outside of these areas!

Typically I like to sit down with the student and parent to see whether we are a good fit. I want to know what goals your child needs or wants to meet, and I also like to try to get to know them to see how they learn best. Tutoring to a child can be scary but it doesn’t have to be! It can be fun!
i have taught and tutored many students in my career. No child scares me and I genuinely find love for each and every one on my students whether that is our academically advanced student who is in need of more enrichment or our student who has difficulty sitting still and finding joy in a school setting. I will get to know your child for who they are. I will learn all of their strengths and will show them how to take those strengths and transfer them to a subject that maybe they currently struggle with.
