About Ashley
I absolutely love boxing. I work in the non-profit industry in a 9-5 style job during the day and spend my evenings in the boxing gym, and those hours are always my favorite of the day.
The community within a boxing gym, and specifically the one where I train, is like no other. I've made so many close friends at the gym and appreciate every single other fighter I work with, whether they're a seasoned vet or just starting.
To me, boxing brings health, focus, strength and stress relief.
I enjoy working with new people and really drilling down into the nitty gritty of body movements and technique of boxing. Changing someone's punch from something light to a power punch with the addition of hip movement or footwork is so rewarding. For the experienced boxer, I enjoy the opportunity to go through drills, spar and work on different techniques and approaches.
I am a USA Boxing certified coach. Since I was a kid, I have been involved in martial arts and then transitioned to boxing as an adult. I've been boxing for about six years and teaching for two years, both group classes and private lessons.
