About Ken
Hello I am from Boston, living in Los Angeles for 20 years. A Lifetime Martial Artist since the age of age 8, Certified Okinawan Karate Instructor, cross-trained in Chinese Boxing, Queensbury Boxing through the Amatuer Athletic Union at age 20, Tae Kwon Do, street tactics, 3 time consecutive state sparring champion, kata champion, baseball bat breaking champion, CNA in Ca. extensive experience training elders, ambulatory and non- ambulatory, PTSD, pre post and during rehab therapy through nutrition, proper guided supplementation. Have learned first hand Masters and Grandmasters in various styles. Makiwara training, body conditioning through various methods. My love for karate was immediate watching Bruce Lee movies at age 4 and begging my parents now and then for 4 years:) David Carradine in Kung Fu was also a further motivation. Many boxers including Ali, Marvin Hagler, Camacho,Duran, Tyson etc. I like to offer easy to follow and confidence promoting training that will help you achieve your goals through my guidance in record time. I began karate training at age 8 and never looked back. Began helping out at the dojo and taking both the children's and adult classes from age 11-14 to gain extra training hours per week to achieve my goals in all aspects of my training experience.
I have taught Karate in a dojo, Kickboxing and cardio kickboxing, I have been interested in weight training, boxing, and bodybuilding. Further experience with elders in a long term care facility, and anyone who may feel intimidated, I offer a unique approach.

Greeting them and getting to know a little about them, their goals, their training history. Just basically saying hi and relating to what they want to achieve!
All ages, demographics that include Seniors, Dementia Assistance training, military PTSD, kids in karate class from ages 5-14, adult classes, tournament training etc. Trained Police Department intensives for self defense, Universities, always charitable events beginnng with Jerry Lewis' MDA, Big Brothers and Sisters of Boston, and many other organizations in Los Angeles.
Friendliness is included automatically in professionalism. Any good instructor or great instructor should have personable qualities.
Helping an elderly man who was very poor and living day to day. He was my neighbor and was a widower.
A few things worth thinking about before reaching out
Recovery, training smarter rather than harder, intensity is key, without overdoing things. Most peopl do not find that balance and end up injured or wearing their time.
