About Camille

Camille Moten, a New Jersey native, is a freelance performer, choreographer and educator who is passionate about the promotion of dance arts as a form of citizenship and inclusion. She received her BFA in Dance from Temple University while working with the PHILADANCO! 2nd Company, D/2. As a freelance performer, Camille has had the pleasure of working with Kim Bears-Bailey, Laurie M. Taylor, Ashlé Dawson, Kavin Grant, and Sonia James Pennington, among others. Camille most recently debuted her first original evening-length immersive dance theatre show, Ella's Trip in March 2019, and looks forward to her role as Choreographer for Crossroads Theater Company’s production of A Christmas Carol this Winter 2019 for the grand opening season of the New Brunswick Performing Arts Center (NBPAC). She continues to self-produce throughout the tristate area as freelance choreographer and performer. Camille has served as faculty at several institutions and festivals of dance, including Ballet Hispánico, Rutgers University, Temple University, and more. In May 2019, she obtained her MFA in dance degree from the Mason Gross School of the Arts at Rutgers University as part of the inagural cohort.

As a professional artist and lifelong learner, my passion for dance arts is rooted in its power of transformation and it's ability to connect people! I love meeting new people of diverse backgrounds and coming together in the practice and study of dance. It is the best part: the unity and community it can manifest. Come dance with me!

2012-Present: Teaching Artist, Guest Artist, Master Class Instructor at various schools of dance, competitions, and festivals throughout the tristate area

Over 15 years of study and performanve experience in concert dance forms: ballet, modern, jazz, with additonal studies in Latin rhythm social styles, musical theater dance and stretch/strengthening & conditioning

Over 7 years of teaching and choreogrpahic experince in ballet, modern, jazz, contemporary, Latin rhythms, and more

Credentials:

MFA in Dance (2019), BFA in Dance (2012), Pending: Yoga Certicication (March 2020)

About the lesson

We will start with an introductory call where I can get to know you and understand your dance and wellness goals. Based on that information, I will then propose a private lesson schedule and rates based on your needs and interests.
