About Hayley
My name is Hayley Erin Trevizo and I am twenty-three years old. I originally moved to Mesa from a small town called Douglas (AZ) in 2013 to study dance. It is a passion of mine and I have spent the last three years taking various dance classes at Mesa Community College, including performing with MCC's dance performance group "Propel".
I have been dancing since I was four years old and I was a choreographer and assistant dance instructor at Gotta Dance-Dance Studio in Douglas, AZ from 2011-2013. During my time there I taught ages 3-18. I also taught dance/cheer from August-December 2016 to students ages 5-13 as an independent contractor through Dance Sequins Studio LLC. My dance background includes various styles of Mexican-Folk, Modern, Jazz, Contemporary/Lyrical, Tap, Ballet/En Pointe, Hip-Hop and American Tribal Style Fusion Belly Dance.
I also have about twelve years of cheer experience (although I haven't cheered since high school). In addition I have been taking yoga at MCC for the past two years and continue to expand my knowledge of this healing art.
I come from a family of artistically inclined souls and natural born performers. Although I enjoy all forms of art, dancing is how I best express myself. Dance is something that has always come naturally to me and has both comforted and energized me. I just feel free and confident when I am performing on stage, even when the butterflies hit hard as I wait in the wings. Through dance a picture can be painted or a story can be told through careful design of movement, spacing, costumes, and lighting. I am so passionate about dance that I have chosen to share my gift and love for it with those who also desire to immerse and dedicate themselves to this beautiful art form.
