About Dennis
Dennis Woods Ballroom Dance Academy provides competitive and presentation dance coaching to dancers around the Southeast. Whether you are a beginner wanting to learn the basics, or you are a seasoned competitor looking to sharpen your technique, American Champion Dennis Woods brings his 15 years of ballroom dancing experience to help you become the best ballroom dancer you can be.
Dennis first witnessed the transformative power of dance at the age of 19, after his parents were involved in a serious car accident. Following the accident, doctors said it would be a lengthy and exhaustive rehabilitation, but surprisingly it was ballroom dancing that became one of the primary therapeutic tools that allowed them to make a full recovery. After seeing the remarkable effects that ballroom dance had on his parents, Dennis had to experience the ballroom for himself. In just one year, he went from dancing as a student to teaching competitive ballroom dancers, and he hasn’t looked back since. As a 15-year veteran ballroom dance instructor, Dennis has built his reputation on providing the best ballroom dance coaching in Birmingham, Alabama and throughout the Southeast.

I am introduced them to the basics and then we go on to a beginner program from there to get you comfortable and confident Basics. After that we set goals and start to work on presentation competitive dancing to evolve your dancing as quickly as possible :)
