About Iris
We offer weekly Lindy Hop/Swing dance classes in San Francisco every Thursday. Beginner through Advanced lessons available. Monthly progressive series begin the first Thursday of each month. Classes are followed by a social dance in our large, beautiful ballroom.
We also offer private lessons - perfect for wedding first dances. These private lessons can be Swing dance or general partnership and movement without being a specific dance style.
I grew up dancing ballet, tap, jazz, and dabbled in Swing dancing in high school and college. It wasn't until I moved to San Francisco in 2005 that I truly discovered and fell in love with Swing dancing - specifically Lindy Hop. I've now been teaching Swing/Lindy Hop since 2008 and have been teaching private wedding lessons since 2012.

For my private lessons, I first like to understand the goal of the student(s) - are they preparing for a special event (like a wedding) or are they wanting to improve their dancing just for fun, etc. Understanding the goal and their expectation is key in teaching them what they want to learn. Once we're on the same page around epxectations, we'll book the lessons and get started!

Details
For our group Lindy Hop lessons, the cost is $60 for our month-long progressive series. This includes four 1-hour classes and the social dance party afterward.
For private lessons, the cost ranges depending on how many lessons are booked and a few other factors. Once we talk about your goals for the lessons, I will determine the cost.
