About Edie and Allen

We help social dancers learn to love dancing the way that we do. As a married couple, we can teach individuals, couples, friend groups, small parties and large events. Our music or your music, all European social dance styles including country, ballroom, Latin, square, children or any combination!

Every student is different, every dance is different! Your love and appreciation of the dance is yours to discover. We lead you on that journey and delight in your discovery!

We have experienced and are connected in some way to every dance group in town. We teach the fundamentals and if a student wants to go further, we know how to prepare them for a lifetime of health and community in the dance style where they find connection.

Edie has been a certified instructor by the National Teachers Association of Country Western Dancing since 2005. Allen was trained by various ballroom dance programs during the 1980s and 90s. Together we cross over into the other's focus after dancing as a couple for fifteen years.

About the lesson

A student books their first lesson online and arrives with some idea of how they want to explore social dancing. We will begin with an assessment of their skills (or lack thereof) and develop a plan for the following lesson. The student then books their next lesson online. And the process continues. There are no long term contracts, payments or expectations other than every lesson is more fun than the last one!
