About Jonathan

Hi Everyone!

My name is Jonathan Heid and I would love to help you acquire the artistic skills you've always wanted to have. I have several years of experience in education in a variety of artistic backgrounds including drawing, painting, and graphic design. I have a BA in Applied Design and a Masters in Education. If you would like to bring your artistic skills to the next level I would love to help you in any way I can!

What I enjoy the most is that I get to teach people about what I love and what them grow their skills

My mom was a teacher and I have three younger siblings so I have grown up in an environment where teaching and helping others was a natural thing. I love showing people how to do things and seeing them succeed.

I have several years of art education experience from elementary school to high school. I have experience in a variety of art mediums incuding drawing, painting, and graphic design. As far as credentials I have a BA in Applied Design and a MA in Education. Finally I have years real world experince selling my art and doing commission work in my spare time.

About the lesson

Generally when I start with a new student I will have them complete a quick survey about their art experience and skill level, and also have them do a couple of excersizes so that I have a feel for where they are and what goals we should set for them and we work from there.

I have worked with students at all grade levels K-12. I currently teach high school. I have also worked with students with special needs and I tailor my teaching strategies to best fit the needs of each of my students.

I would look for a teacher that is interested in what you want to learn and has the experience and dedication to help you reach those goals.

A few things worth thinking about before reaching out
I think they should evaluate their needs and make sure that they are really necessary. A good teacher will help you analyze where you really want to go and help you work toward that.
