About David
I provide an environment of encouragement. Many of my students have been with me for years. My lessons are custom for each student. For younger students, I work closely with parents. This includes a written summary (progress report) and practice material after each lesson.
I enjoy teaching.
My mother started me on piano at age-7. I started playing drums around the age of 12. First Junior High Band, then High School Band, Drum and Bugle Corps, High School Marching Band, High School Jazz Band, and playing gigs with local bands. After high school, I studied music in college where I participated in Symphony Band, Marching Band, Jazz Band and Percussion Ensemble. I also played drums three nights a week with a local groups.

We start off by discussing a student's level of experience and musical goals. From there I put together a specific plan for each lesson. Each lesson includes a written summary and practice materials.
Students new to drumming, who are starting school band. Also intermediate students (teenagers and adults) who want to start or improve on full drum-set.
Look for a teacher who will keep you interested and challenge your growth. It's also important to have fun!
I love it when people send me a picture or video of my student practicing or performing.
