About Mike

It gives me great pleasure and satisfaction when I'm able to bring out that God given talent that my students already Possess. I Believe in giving my students positive reinforcement And encouragement and acclamation that they deserve for a job well done. I am known for personally molding their lesson time To meet and bring out the desires that they are wanting to learn. Because of my gospel background and accomplishments in the recording industry a lot of my younger students that come to me are wanting to excel with their current position that they hold with worship teams. As well as secular musicians who are wanting to learn all the different styles and Genres of the music interesting everything from gospel to funk to hip-hop to classic rock country and swing! I even have a special lesson outline for special needs children as well. I have been teaching for over 40 years and I have recorded on over 50 albums for various artists. And I have won a Grammy for all my musical accomplishments . I have played and performed all over the world in over 15 different countries and have appeared on national television and even performed with the East Berlin jazz festival!

It gives me great pleasure to see the God-given talents that I'm able to mold and help bring to the surface on my students What they have learned .to be able to do something that they've never been able to do before and to see that smile from ear to ear of their own accomplishments that they've been able to conquer all by themselves

My educational accomplishments involves in an honorary doctorate degree in music as well as on the road training for over 45 years I have played for various artists all over the world have recorded for over 50 albums and projects and have received a Grammy award for all my musical accomplishments . And I have toured in over 15 countries all over the world. and have also played for the East Berlin jazz festival. I am also an author for a drums in worship book that I have manuscripted .

About the lesson

I love to work with Students that are currently accomplished in the gifts but I love to work with beginner students as well to be able to encourage them and to bring out what is that they would like to accomplish in their personal learning experience . The first lesson is always free Just so they can check out the studio and to see how and what they will learn from my school of drumming . And my students always love the fact that I am able to record them on a CD of them playing along with their favorite songs through a live sound system!
