About Marcus
I absolutely love music. I love listening to it, making it, and teaching it all the same! Recently, I have decided to take what I've learned in my years with music and share it with aspiring songwriters, producers, and engineers. My qualifications include a Certificate in the Recording Arts from Rutgers University - New Brunswick and months of live audio engineering for RDX Productions. It was always fun for me, when learning Pro Tools and production, to figure out that trick or method to attain a certain sound. Sometimes it was even baked right into the default plug-ins, no extra purchases needed! I want to bring that same joy of discovery to aspiring songwriters, producers, and engineers!

In the first session, the student and I will have a conversation so that I can understand their skill level, their preferred methods of teaching, etc. From there, I will build upon their existing knowledge in a broad-strokes fashion, incorporating the needed amounts of music theory, audio engineering, and DAW skills. The teaching becomes more fine-tuned as time goes on and the student expresses their goals.
