About Gillian
My service is all inclusive and includes discussing the material we go over prior to our session. I highly encourage students to involve and discuss materials with their caregivers. I will also give tips on healthy study habits my students can utilize outside our sessions and review everything we discussed for future sessions.
I enjoy working with children of all ages and would love to impact my students successfully. Personally, I struggled with school for years and after learning healthy study habits, I would love to share them with other kids who are struggling just like me.
I have a passion for working with kids which allowed me to grow beyond what my current program offers. I have babysat and tutored neighborhood kids but I wanted to share my skills as much as I can.
I am currently a student in a medical program which allows me to retain new information and study skills to help my students.

I personally introduce myself, ask a few questions, and ask the student along with the caregiver to send me the material we are working on for the session so I have a good idea on how I can help!
I have worked with kids who have ADHD and other special needs as a result of a club called Best Buddies in high school.
Some advice I have is to never be afraid to ask questions, take breaks as needed, and stay focused!
A recent event I am fond of is playing Pokémon and finding a rare Pokémon in the wild that is had to find. Outside of teaching I love to play video games!
A few things worth thinking about before reaching out
Students should think about what they need help with in order to really explain their needs. They should also be as fluent and detailed with what they need help with so we, as teachers, can offer as much support as we can.

Details
Currently my rates are $18 an hour. If there are follow up sessions, I will review the material and ask questions on how my student feels regarding school work and if there are any other questions in order to help my student become comfortable with asking questions and retaining the information.
