About Pamela

I have been involved in teaching, on several different occasions during my work history. I have an Education degree from a University in the United States. I began my career as a classroom teacher, teaching Spanish to teenagers in a large High School. I changed careers, and during a four (4) year period, I taught a sales curriculum to adults in a Fortune 500 company. I taught both classroom style and over the internet. I currently hold an advanced certification to teach English as a second language. I teach adults in Chile by Skype, who need to speak English for their jobs. I have many years of experience in Education and Business, making my background well rounded.

I very much enjoy teaching adults. Since I love to travel in other countries, I enjoy meeting people from different countries! I recently spent sixteen (16) months traveling to eleven (11) countries over four (4) continents, and look forward to doing more travel in the near future. It is refreshing to travel and live among many cultures, eating different food, (especially very spicy!!), and enjoying new activities. Being able to speak with people from all around the world gives me different perspectives of the world and all it has to offer! And, teaching English to new people will allow them to enjoy the possibilities of traveling and broadening their life experiences.

I was hired to teach English as a Second Language by Skype, from a Language School in Chile.

Bachelor of Science in Education degree, plus Advanced Certificate in Teaching English as a Second Language.

About the lesson

Understanding and outlining the student's specific objectives, so I can teach "real life'' English that is meaningful to his/her job and in daily life. Conversations and topics that will encourage a student to participate for the hour, making it a valuable experience.

Business Executives in Chile, by Skype, who work with International customers; therefore, these business executives need to speak in English with many of their customers.
