About Hannah

I have been playing the flute for fourteen years and have an Associate of Arts in music on the flute. I love music and have been teaching for four years. I also have participated in various solo and ensemble competitions where I have received high ranks in my playing. With the experience I bring to the table of majoring in music, performing in over five different ensembles, and teaching young people for four years, my expertise will enable young flute players to grow musically.

I started teaching four years ago during college after meeting a family at the local grocery store who needed a flute teacher.

I have an Associate of Arts in Music and have been studying flute for fourteen years.

About the lesson

I always assess their level of playing. If they are beginners, I always start with the basics of flute, fingering, how to form the embouchure correctly, and how to get good tone. Then I move onto scales and etudes, and then solo work.

I have worked with elementary, middle school and high school students.

I would tell them that they should look around the area and meet a few teachers that would help them reach their goals. After that, they should choose the teacher they feel will help them the most.

I recently went to a service at a local church that was wonderful. They had live music, dancing, and fine art. I love to worship and attending this meeting sparked my love for music and making music for Jesus.

A few things worth thinking about before reaching out
Students should ask what their personal goals are and ask themselves what they want to do with their musical ability. They should also ask themselves what is the most important area they want to grow in and set goals from there.
