About Daniel
I am a Music Education student at the University of Louisville. I enjoy teaching and playing the flute and would love to get you or your little mozarts interested in music as well!
My middle school band director influenced my life and got me interested in doing the same for my own students some day!
I am currently a Music Education major at the University of Louisville with wind emphasis.

I will first evaluate their level of music knowledge, not only on the flute but withing musical notation, music theory, and their aural literacy. After that point, we will set an achievable goal to reach between each lesson and I will recommend certain related materials to promote learning outside of the lessons.
I have worked with students of all social, racial, and ethnic backgrounds (through in-school observations not specifically related to music.)
I am still learning new things about my instrument every day! The flute is a beautiful instrument when mastered and it is very rewarding to learn. I want to emphasize those small milestones with all of my students. I am mainly looking to work with beginner students (Elementary and Middle School) in order to promote learning not only from the student but from myself in order to gain tools to apply in the classroom.
Starting college! It has made me even more excited to get into the classroom and begin teaching.
A few things worth thinking about before reaching out
Students should always consider their goals, or as I like to call it, their "why" they are doing this. Whether it is for fun, or for show, or even for a career. Always evaluate your reasoning as it us easier to set achievable goals for yourself.

Details
All new students will recieve a free one hour evaluation and consulation lesson for me to get to know them and talk to them about their future goals. I start my lesson rates at $20 per hour. However, I will determine pricing based on individual need and am willing to discuss payment for multiple lessons at once. If done this way, a discount will be applied. (For example, if you would like 8 weeks of one hour lessons per week, rather than the price being $160 dollars, it would be priced with an approxinate 15% discount. Therefore the price would be $135 for 8 weeks of one hour lessons.)
