About Mahathir

Hi! My name is Mahathir, 24 years old, graduated from Universiti Malaysia Sarawak, majoring in Civil Engineering with Honours. In UNIMAS, I was polished to be a competent Civil Engineer. I am a certified graduate engineer and am currently working as a Business and Project Management Engineer in one of the fastest-growing technology companies in the Asia Pacific.

I have been told that my approach to teaching makes it enjoyable for my students as I am considered patient and very approachable. I am happy to travel up to 10KM from my home and am currently available during weekends.

The strength merged with a outstanding academic and training has prepared me to make a substantial and immediate impact in my teaching.

About the lesson

One of the ways consists of me trying to bond with my students, analyze their respective weaknesses, guide them with the basics, and make sure that they’ll improve with extra exercises. Nowadays, critical thinking has always been a prominent element for students; I will have them mentally prepared by providing proper guidance and practice. My teaching is in a class by itself as I understand how students struggle to cope with their studies. I aspire to create a conducive environment for them to enjoy while being productive, as I want them to have as much input as possible without being stressed.

The techniques that I always practice would be:
- Ask questions as it will lead to a more productive way of generating their solutions.
- Offer constructive feedback instead of criticizing them.
- Guide students to make appropriate questions and provide them with a space for sharing their thoughts on the subjects.
- Make them familiar with real-life based applications and situations.

He always asked lecturers in the class regarding the topics that he did not understood. Most lecturers are very comfortable with his attitude.
