About Marco
I have been involved in music since 4th grade. Since then I have taught myself how to play many instruments with no lessons. I recently taught myself how to play the guitar and I feel that the way i taught myself can help others learn to play easier. I can teach you to play in a way that you will understand and be able to learn techniques easier than any other method out there!
During high school my band instructor needed a second guitar player. At the time, I was the only guitar player other than the bass player. My band teacher knew that I taught myself how to play the guitar and asked if I could stay after school a few days here and there and teach someone some chords. A few weeks later he was playing in the band with me.
I have been involved in music since 4th grade ranging from concert band to jazz band. Through the years I have taught myself how to play a numerous amount of instrument with ease. While some instruments like the clarinet and saxophone are very complex and have many keys, the structure of the guitar is pretty simple. I feel that my methods are unique and easy to follow.

I like to get to know my student and learn the types of music they are into. From there, we will pick a simple song that they like and start working towards breaking the song down to learn. I feel that it is easier to learn the basics of the guitar while learning a song rather than mastering the basics before moving on to playing songs. The beginning of guitar lessons can be repetitive and boring to some people like myself. By jumping straight into learning a song, you naturally pick up the basics.
Techincally my first student was the individual in high school. But since then, I have taught a few students between the ages of 15 and 20 and one 72 year old.
Find someone that makes learning fun. I think of it like school. Math is boring. But believe it or not, a fun teacher will make you love math. Playing the guitar is fun, it should be fun to learn too. Don't get a teacher that will make you hate playing.
I love listening to live music and jamming with good friends.
