About Leila
I am a passionate guitar tutor with over nine years of experience teaching both in-person and online. I hold a Bachelor of Music in Guitar Performance with a focus on contemporary styles. My teaching philosophy is centered on creativity, clarity, and musical understanding. I believe the guitar is a powerful tool for composition and self-expression.
I emphasize compositional techniques, arranging for guitar, and developing original music. Lessons include practical use of harmonic concepts, melodic invention, and counterpoint. These ideas are always applied directly to the instrument. I also guide students in recording simple demos to capture and refine their musical ideas.
I have supported students from beginner to advanced levels, including professional and expert aspiring composers. Each lesson is adapted to individual goals and musical direction. Progress is structured but flexible. I invite you to join me in discovering the joy of creating your own guitar music.

My teaching approach focuses on building a strong and reliable rhythmic foundation on the guitar. Rhythm is the backbone of confident playing. I help students feel the groove before adding complexity. Lessons are clear, practical, and supportive.
We work on rhythm guitar techniques, strumming patterns, picking dynamics, and timing control. I teach how to lock in with a beat and play comfortably across different tempos. Students learn groove development for styles like pop, rock, acoustic, and worship music. Chord transitions are practiced with rhythm in mind. Muting, accents, and dynamics are explained step by step.
I work especially well with players who love detailed finger work and those leading songs in group settings. I give consistent feedback to improve feel, accuracy, and confidence. Exercises are musical, not mechanical. Progress is steady and measurable. By the end, students can confidently lay down solid rhythms that support any song.
