About Olivia

Learning has always been the most exciting part of my life, and I want to bring that joy to others. I have required tutors in the past for different subjects so I understand that it is important for students to find someone they trust, engage with, and can truly learn from and with. I recently graduated from the University of Virginia with a Bachelor of Arts in Foreign Affairs. Through this program, I studied various courses relating to international governments, international history, American government, and American history. I am also currently a Ringle Tutor, which is a tutoring service for English Language Learners. Additionally, I am preparing to begin teaching in New York this upcoming year. I received a 4 on the AP World History Test. I was a writer for the Virginia Review of Politics, conducted a thesis on COVID-19 and the Federal Bureau of Prisons for a year and a half, and was on the executive board of the One Love Chapter at UVA. I am excited to meet you and look forward to working with you in a fun and thought-provoking environment!

I began teaching swim lessons in high school and after realizing how much I enjoyed this I decided I wanted to start a career in teaching. Additionally, because I have loved teaching so much I was. Ringle tutor in college.

I have a Bachelor of Arts in Foreign Affairs, I am a Ringle Tutor, and I am an incoming teacher in New York.

About the lesson

I begin by getting to know them. I find that developing personal relationships and personal connections creates a more comfortable environment. After this, I try to understand why the student is using a tutor and then work with them to develop a plan. I believe seeing the student as a partner in their learning and tutoring process creates the most success.

I have worked with all ages, from elementary school to middle and high school to adult learners.

You should look for someone that makes you feel comfortable, who treats you as a partner and equal on your path to learning!
