About Kyle
My name is Kyle Atterson, and I'm going to be attending Ivy Tech Community College Fall 2021 to pursue an Associate degree in Education. After I graduate, I plan to transfer to IUPUI to earn a Bachelor's degree in Education.
My goal is to become a High school History teacher. I have a passion for History and I want to share my passion with others to achieve their academic goals. I want them to be successful, not just in history, but in life. I want them to see how history touches every aspect of our lives, how it helps us solves problems, and how we can learn from our mistakes as people. I want to motivate and inspire. I want to make a difference in both history and everyday life.
I have always been wanted to be a teacher/tutor since middle school. I have been inspired by many of my teachers and they have encouraged to achieve my dreams. I've always liked meeting new people and helping others. I was a Cub Scout and Boy Scout.
I'm an honor roll student. I was a Cub Scout and Boy Scout. I love music, enjoyed being in choir, jazz band, and symphonic band during middle and high school years.
My 8th grade history teacher Mr.Rhodes was huge inspiration to me. He is one of the reasons that I developed such a passion for history, and one of the major reasons that I decided to pursue teaching as a career. His teaching style was humorous and made learning fun and was still incredibly passionate about the subject. In my opinion he was one of the greatest teachers I've ever had in my school career.

I have been learning from Mr. Atterson and it has been a great experience. He is a very thoughtful tutor who puts a lot of thought into how he presents the material. His lessons were engaging, useful, and he was very patient and is always encouraging to try. I would highly recommend him to anyone interested in learning History.
