Honestly, what a lifesaver! Last year was my junior year of high school and I found myself really struggling with AP U.S. History. After a couple months into the year, I didn’t understand a thing and found myself staring at the words in my book, feeling lost, confused, and ultimately frustrated. Since I was already behind, I took to asking my peers for tutor recommendations. The first person I asked said they knew a “history genius” named Grant, and everyone else enthusiastically agreed. Turns out, almost everyone I knew had gone to Grant whenever they had a history-related question. Soon after, I found myself with the phone number of one of the smartest and kindest students to ever graduate from our school. From then on, you could say, the rest is history (haha). Even after a few tutoring sessions, my test scores started to shoot up, and I felt like I actually understood the content for the first time in my life. The way that Grant tutors is so incredibly easy to understand, and his passion for the subject really makes learning from him interesting. He taught me not only content, but also study skills to help me learn on my own, and I was even able to use them to improve my grades and understanding in other classes. By the end of the year, and after many great sessions with Grant, I felt like I was prepared for anything the AP Test could throw my way. Thankfully, I passed with flying colors, and honestly don’t know if I (and all of my peers either) would’ve been able to do it without Grant. I apologize for the long-winded review, but I am so grateful for all of Grant’s help, and am as passionate about his success as he was for mine. I would definitely recommend Grant to anyone that is struggling with history (and am probably going to shoot him some questions this year for AP Government). I can honestly say that Grant is one of the most influential and effective mentors I’ve ever had in my academic career, and, when you end up choosing him, I promise you won’t regret it.
