About Gary

I am a lover of history, all history. I love to talk history, teach history and develop of love of history to those around me. I hold a Masters of Arts in History from Liberty University and have worked in the field of education with a focus on a variety of historical areas ranging from World, Atlantic, Western Civilization, Ancient World History, World Religions, Early American, Civil War, WWI, WWII, The Koren War, Vietnam, and Modern Military History. I know not everyone holds my love of history, so I will assist and work to make history not only enjoyable and fun but will aid in making you a success in any History topic you require aid in. I do so from a one on one, comfortable online classroom where you as a student and I as the instructor will provide an easy-to-understand layout of the history topic and area you require and will work to make the subject easy to understand. I work on your schedule, not mine for your success.

I enjoy all areas of history. I have a passion for teaching and discussing the history of all types. I gain a great deal of satisfaction from helping someone who doesn't have the same passion I have for history develop into an avid lover of history.

Through a job opportunity working in an educational department of a local museum . There I was able to daily discuss and provide educational programs on subjects of historical nature to a variety of age groups.

Although I have never taught in a typical school classroom setting, I have had the opportunity to offer educational programs to several age groups of students, homeschool programs, and adult educational lessons and programs. I did so for several years in a museum-based setting.

About the lesson

I prefer a one-on-one teaching experience and style. Too often students who seek outside classroom or teaching assistance are having a difficult time understanding or developing an interest in the subject. Too often, students who do not have an overwhelming love of history, feel like they are drinking from a fire hose, inundated with a flurry of information they feel overwhelmed to recall at a moment's notice. I work to help those students develop a love of history by providing a one on one, online experience, based on their schedule, not mine. I work to make the topic they are desiring help with interesting, and enjoyable to learn through a visual-based education. I encourage discussions and questions during the period of tutoring.

Look for a teacher that has your best interest at heart. Someone who is passionate about the subject and desires to do nothing more than aid you in your understanding go the subject. A good teacher works one on one as much as possible.

Being allowed to offer a program during a military event in which I discussed the important role women played during the years of World War II on the Homefront to a visiting group of high school, college, and adult participants.

Standard rates apply depending on weekly or daily sessions. Sessions typically last from 1-2 hours, depending on students' needs, and can be conducted based on the student's schedule. Rates are as follows:

1-hour online session- 10.00

2 - hour online session -20.00

Weekly session - 10.00 per hour up to three times a week
