About Tracy

I am a very thorough instructor, and I care for my animals

I love teaching people to ride and care for horses

Started training naughty horses and loved it, so I started involving the owners in the process of teaching their horse. I think if an owner can learn with the animal then if the habbit restarts again the owner will know how to deal with that situation in the proper manner. Then I had kids of my own and they started riding at 1yo and I loved the smiles and laughter its like a drug you can't get enough I just LOVE teaching, that smile from a student when they do a correct movement or jump with their horse no matter if they are 3yo or 80 yo it's so gratifying.

I have been riding for 35yrs and training/teaching for a little over 20 years. I have turned 37 thoroughbreds off the track into new careers and instru loving permanent homes. I have ridden with don Devine, lisa kent (Olympic rider) , Lia Chafee (works for carl katani), Olympic rider Lynn Symansky, Elizabeth Owen's, Matt Martin and shane Powell and many more. I have competed up into the mini grand prix on my 18.1h Irish draught Shergar and hope to continue our growth.I love training horses and students it's a passion.

About the lesson

First ride we go real slow depending on their past riding experience or even none. I like to get to know my student as we tack up the horse. Once on the horse i will see how much a rider knows that has ridden in the past first and see the control they gave in the saddle and go from there. Beginners i start on a lounge line first.

I have worked with 3yo including a set of twin girls all the way up to 65yo training a jumper with the student. I get about 50/50 from beginners never been on a horse to intermediate riders that need that fine tuning.

Make sure the instructor has at least competed themselves in a higher level than what you are looking to get lessons for and you should feel like you learned at least 1 thing in every lesson. If you walk away not learning anything the instructor is not what your looking for.

Northwood farm has a really fun Derby every July it is the most relaxed fun event in Belgrade
