About Brenda

Nechtan Mor Farm offers horse boarding, leasing, and riding lessons specalizing in western & english fundamentals, horsemanship, and horse husbandary for equine enthusiasts of all ages. Plus-sized rider friendly. Senior and retired horses are welcome! Nechtan Mor farm is no-drama, no hassle farm located in Stacy, MN. For more info, see our Nechtan Mor Farm Facebook page or website! At Nechtan Mor Farm we enjoy spending quiet time with our horses and sharing our knowledge and experience with others.

I grew up training horses but realized that I was "fixing" many issues that were the result of the rider. I believe that if I taught a person the correct way that "fixing" a horse becomes unnecessary. 



I have had horses my entire life! I attended the University of Minnesota, Crookston to pursue my passion in horses. I also spent many years participating at 4-H, FFA, and Open events with my horses. I have believe in continuing education and have spent my time over the years attending various clinics, seminars, classes, and lessons to better myself, not to mention the countless hours I have spent over my lifetime just enjoying and loving my horses.

I prefer to set up a time to meet the student and discuss their long term and short term goals and then work at a pace that best suits the student. 



I have taught students as young as four to pre-teen and teen to women getting back to riding in their 30s, 40s, and 50s!



Find a teacher that is close and willing to listen to your needs. 



I always enjoy it when a person has an "ah ha" moment or they finally make a connection with their horse.

 I offer private one hour lessons for english & western fundamentals, horsemanship, and horse husbandary with a priority on safety. One hour private lessons are $50. 

I do not offer jumping lessons at this time.
