About Dante
Thank you for your interest in our dojo. It is always nice to meet new people.
The Bujinkan program we teach is a composite Japanese martial art combining several feudal era combat fighting systems and dozens of traditional Japanese weapons. Emerging in Japan’s military elite (samurai) and special forces (shinobi) during the 6th-10th c., the program is designed around counter measures that seek to destabilize and deescalate violence rather than trying to compete on speed, strength and size.
Today, we practice the martial arts to be part of a larger community, to build self-confidence, to learn how to be a compassionate human being, and to realize our potential.
Licensed by Grandmaster Masaaki Hatsumi in Noda-Shi Japan, Griffith Park Bujinkan instructors promote a positive learning environment and integrated approach to mental and physical training.
We train outdoors in the park 1-day each week to be closer to nature and to accommodate long weapons training. All ages 10yrs+ and genders welcome.
