About Gareth
I am a current PhD student in Economics at George Mason University, where I TA mathematical economics and econometrics (applied calc and applied stat). Through this, I am comfortable teaching to a variety of backgrounds, ranging from 18 year olds with no background in math, to graduate students with advanced backgrounds in mathematics. While many of these students are older, I also have experience working with kids--in my spare time, I coach rowing to middle schoolers and young high schoolers at a local high school.
My teaching style is to break down problems in a series of easy to answer questions, both to figure out where students most need help, and to help them develop strategies to answer unfamiliar questions.
