About Leo
I am a math enthusiast who has been tutoring my fellow underclassmen for multiple years since 8th grade. I have a strong urge for helping people, aspiring to make students feel like they're not alone in their educational endeavors.
Experience: Took a Math Mentoring class which helped me begin my tutoring journey in 8th grade. The class required that I mentor my colleagues in math (as I was placed in a faster math class) for a whole semester. Further experience was with mentoring my younger sister and my close friends in understanding any math homework or math concepts that were not clear to them.
I got started teaching by helping out my friends. Hearing them say "Oh! That makes so much sense!" has never failed to make me happy. It eventually evolved into me taking a full semester course for helping students out.
I have taken an accredited school course for mentoring students in 8th grade.

For new students, I work to get to know them and learn exactly what they expect out of a tutoring session with me. It is also very important to learn the student's studying method and practices to help in the way that helps them the most.
I have worked with mostly middle schoolers and high schoolers.
I would suggest to hire a teacher that understands them best, a teacher that knows how it feels to undergo stress of high school and their curriculum.
A few things worth thinking about before reaching out
Students should think about what they want to get out of every tutoring session. Having a plan on what subjects a student wants to fully understand by the end of the day will help in the long run. Students should plan how to methodically take in information efficiently and without stress.
