About Claire
I tend to be able to work with kids who have learning disabilities. I also have plenty of free time so sessions can go as long as necessary.
I took the most advanced math courses in high school through AP Calculus BC and got an A in every class. I took college calculus and recieved an A in the course. Throughout school, friends and classmates often came to me for help in understanding difficult concepts.

I first figure out what they know by just working through some problems. Where they get stuck is when I jump in and try to understand what they are having difficulty with and explain it in terms they'll understand. Often times, students do understand what they're doing they just can't make certain connections so that's where I ask leading questions to get them to think about the next step in relation to the previous one. If they continually have trouble with a certain concept then I'll focus on helping them understand that before moving on.
