About Brianna
Elementary to IB is the product of my time in the International Baccalaureate program and my subsequent need to teach the material to both myself and my peers. Many students need assistance in a variety of subjects, so I am a valuable tutor for my proficiency in various subjects. I've also spent the last ten years developing youth leadership skills in the 4H program, so I have strong skills in communication and patience. I look forward to working with you!

We'll spend a session or two reviewing material and determining the students' needs, and finding out how we are best able to work together. After those things have been established, we are able to progress further in reviewing or learning new material. Of course, I'm not rigidly set in my ways so any new approaches from a student are welcome.
In terms of paid work, I mostly work with students in elementary and middle school. For these students, I am most often working in math or science. In volunteer or peer-connection based work, I work with grades 9-11 in biology, chemistry, math, history, and English.
Don't be afraid to try working with several tutors/teachers! Any good educator will understand that in order to succeed you should be working with someone you are comfortable with.
I had a student get her first 100% on a math quiz! We had been working together for a few months and she worked her way up from averaging around 30%, we were both so excited. :)
